In May 2016, we’ll be thinking about the 21 years that have passed since we first opened the doors of Berwick Youth Project in a small rented shop property in Castlegate, Berwick. In 2001 we moved to Golden Square, and have remained there ever since. From 1997 to 2015 we also provided accommodation on the Quay Walls.
We’ve asked a good friend of the project, Pete Stout (formerly the Head of Youth Services in Gateshead), to publish a booklet about the activities of the last 21 years. Vital to this are the stories of young people who visited the project, for whatever reason.
I would like to ask if yo would consider telling us a little bit about your story. Pete’s task will be to tell the story of the project, using real examples of how we helped young people such as you. We’d love you to take part, but appreciate that you might not want every detail shared with the world. So you’ll get to see what is written before it’s published, and then you can decide if it’s ok. That’s a promise.
If you’d like to take part, please fill in the basic details on the document below and write as much as you want about your story.
Please make sure your story reaches us by the end of December, or earlier if possible. We cant promise to use every story we receive, but we will do our best. Pete may well get in touch to check the details, so please make sure you put your contact details.
We’re looking forward to hearing from you!
Best Wishes
John Bell
